(Divine Savior Academy – Doral) On Wednesday, September 25th, the Divine Savior Academy girls’ varsity team competed in the Dade County Youth Fair Golf Tournament. The event was held at the Country Club of Miami and featured the top high school female golfers throughout Miami-Dade County. DSA sophomore Skylee Shin won the tournament, shooting an impressive 66 (4 under par). Her round was highlighted by an eagle on Hole 17. Shin’s 66 was 10 strokes better than her closest competitor. “Skylee’s performance further solidified why she is the top female high school golfer in Miami,” expressed DSA Golf Coach Ryan Kirchoff. “She loves competition and saved some of her best golf for this showcase event.” Shin has shot either even par or below par in every team match this season. She is looking to repeat as the District and Regional Champion and earn another trip to represent DSA at the FHSAA State Golf Tournament.
