(Divine Savior Academy – Doral) I have been in Divine Savior Academy since 4th grade, but trained with the fledgling chess team since 3rd. DSA has influenced my beliefs in terms of how I deal with other people. It has also strengthened my belief and trust in God through the various religion classes taught at school. DSA has prepared me for the future through rigorous courses and through exciting projects such as the senior final project. It has also allowed me to develop myself as a person through clubs and sports. Some of the activities I participated in are cross country, golf, track, Model United Nations, chess, National Honor Society, Student Council, and Future Business Leaders of America.
My advice for high school students would be to start off running, and if you can’t run, jog. Work hard from the beginning and don’t let up. Also, have fun with high school, academics isn’t everything and it’s an important part of your life to live and enjoy. Invest in extracurriculars that you genuinely enjoy because colleges do care about activities other than academics. My plans for college would be studying civil engineering. Through this
