(Divine Savior Academy – Doral) Mr. Jake Ziel was born and grew up in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. He attended high school at Luther Preparatory School in Watertown, Wisconsin. Growing up, he played baseball and basketball all the way through college. Mr. Ziel became a teacher for multiple reasons. Both of his parents are teachers at St. Matthew’s Lutheran School in Oconomowoc, WI, where his dad is the principal and his mom teaches Kindergarten. You could say that it runs in the family. It also gave him a good opportunity to stick to coaching the sports he’s loved since he was little. Before coming to DSA this school year, Mr. Ziel taught Physical Education, Earth Science, and Health at Nebraska Lutheran High School. He also coached three years of football and basketball while at Nebraska Lutheran. One of the things that Mr. Ziel is enjoying the most about DSA is getting to know the students and the faculty. He also enjoys the Christian atmosphere around the school and likes being a good Christian role model for the high school students.
