I have been a student here at DSA for almost two years now. I transferred from my previous school during the beginning of my Junior year and have been a Shark ever since.
DSA has matured me and has made me a much more responsible student.
When I came to DSA, I was very immature in the aspect of talking and a bit on the acting side as well. Being here has also made me more responsible, not only academically, but also in my everyday life. Ever since transferring, I have grown tremendously as a person. Growing up and becoming more mature and responsible has prepared me to have a successful college education. In college, I will be on my own, no one to push me, no one to stay on top of me and my work. Therefore, DSA has made me ready for college and beyond. I have made many memories here and I’m sure I’ll make many more before the year ends, but my two favorite ones so far have been being finally making it past the Future Business Leaders of America State competition and representing the school at Nationals, and being District Champions for Soccer and Track during my senior year.
I would recommend for all students to try every opportunity they are given during high school – from clubs to sports, and classes to activities. You only go through high school once, so make the most out of it. I’m glad I did everything I have during my four years and it has helped me prepare for multiple things in the future. I don’t regret any of it.
I’m thankful for all my classmates and teachers these past two years. Everyone made me feel special when I felt like a fish out of the water. Thank you for all the memories we’ve made. If we don’t see each other again, please remember me as a hyper, caring, funny, and always laughing person.
