DSA Celebrates Veterans Day with the City of DoralNovember 4, 2015
#DSAKindness. When our students see this hashtag, they aren’t thinking of their latest social media post. They are thinking about random acts of kindness.
DSA School Counselor Monica Sanchez rolled out the #DSAKindness hashtag last month.?? As she presented to homerooms about encouraging kindness among our students, she realized that random acts of kindness were a great place to start. Students are now writing down ideas for random acts of kindness on notecards and placing them on a #DSAKindness bulletin board in the middle school hallway.
“DSA is a place of empathy and kindness. These attitudes are personified in our teachers and fostered in our students. At the Academy, we want to encourage that atmosphere even more with this year-long campaign. Most of all, we want to share the love of??Christ with others,” comments Sanchez.
Once a month, middle school teachers will select one of the #DSAKindness notecards. Students will then do the chosen random??act of kindness on campus or in the community. Examples include writing??notes of praise to post on??every locker or collecting something to donate to a local??charity.

and pray for our students and teachers as they seek to spread the love of Jesus within the walls of Divine Savior and the streets of our community.
