Spirit Week 2014 is Monday, October 6 to Friday, October 10. Celebrate your school spirit, support DSA athletics, and show your school pride by participating in the following activities! Over the course of this week, our DSA Athletics program together with our High School Student Council will sponsor dress up days, fun activities, pep rallies, and athletic events. Please read below for a full schedule of events, including our athletics schedule for the week. Come out and cheer on your Sharks!

Please note: everyone is invited to participate in this week???s dress up days, but no one is required to do so. If you do not wish to participate, please wear your regular school uniform.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 6 ??? PAJAMA DAY

On Monday, wear your pajamas to school. The following Spirit Week activities will take place during the day:

  • 8:15-8:33 am: High School Homeroom Competition Games in the Gym
  • 1:10-1:30 pm: Middle School Homeroom Competition Games in the Auditorium
  • HS Volleyball Players Visit PreK-5th Grade Classrooms

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 7 ??? TWIN DAY

On Tuesday, dress the same as??one other student or a group of students for Twin Day. A variety of??Spirit Week activities will take place during the day, including our PreK-5th grade Pep Rally and WHITEOUT Varsity Volleyball Game.

  • 8:15-8:33 am: Hight School Homeroom Competition Games in the Gym
  • 1:10-1:30 pm: Middle School Homeroom Competition Games in the Auditorium
  • 2:30-3:00 pm: Early Childhood/Elementary Pep Rally
    • Our PreK to 5th grade students will attend a special DSA Pep Rally in the afternoon. The??students will be introduced to our high school volleyball and cross country players, learn DSA cheers, and play games.
  • 3:45 pm and 4:30 pm: Middle School Volleyball Teams play at Conchita Espinosa
  • 4:00 pm and 4:30 pm: High School Girls and Boys Cross Country Meet at Dade Christian
  • 7:00 pm: High School Girls Volleyball Team plays Riviera Prep at DSA
    • It???s a WHITEOUT! Cheer on your SHARKS and wear all white clothing to show your school pride. Special games for PreK-5th grade students will be held in between matches.??

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 8 ??? WACKY NEON DAY

On Wednesday, wear your brightest, whacki-est neon clothes to school. The following Spirit Week activities will take place during the day:

  • 8:15-8:33 am: High School Homeroom Competition Games in the Gym
  • 1:10-1:30 pm: Middle School Homeroom Competition Games in the Auditorium
  • 2:30-3:30 pm: High School Homeroom Dodgeball Competition in the Gym

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 9 ??? CAREER DAY

On Thursday, dress like your favorite career, whether that be a business man, a teacher, or a firefighter! The following Spirit Week activities will take place during the day:

  • 8:15-8:33 am: High School Homeroom Competition Games in the Gym
  • 1:10-1:30 pm: Middle School Homeroom Competition Games in the Auditorium
  • 4:30 pm: Middle School Volleyball vs Rainbow Christian in the DSA Gym

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10 ??? SCHOOL SPIRIT DAY

On Friday, wear your school colors (blue and gold) and your DSA gear! The following Spirit Week activities will take place during the day:

  • High School Cross Country Team runs at the Disney Invitational Meet
  • 1:10-1:30 pm: Middle School Homeroom Competition Games
  • 2:30-3:30 pm: Middle School/High School Pep Rally??
    • Our middle and high school??students will attend a special DSA Pep Rally in the afternoon. Our students will be introduced to our high school volleyball and cross country players, learn DSA cheers, and play games.
  • 4:00, 4:45, and 5:30 pm: Middle School Volleyball plays Somi at DSA
  • 7:30 pm: High School Girls Volleyball plays Pinecrest Prep??at DSA
    • It???s a BLACKOUT! Cheer on your SHARKS and wear all black??clothing to show your school pride. Special games for middle and high school??students will be held in between matches.??
    • Spirit Week winners for Middle School/High School competitions will be announced at the conclusion of the match.
