DSA???s Student Council is in the midst of its third quarter service project: ???Pennies for Patients.?????This program is a coin collection that benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society who uses the money ???to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin???s disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.???
DSA students have been given small??Pennies for Patients??boxes (pictured to the left) and/or have collection boxes in their homerooms. Students are asked to collect their spare change (or any monetary donation) in these boxes. The collection began on February 3rd and will run until Friday, February 14.
On Friday, February 14th (Valentine???s Day!), students are asked to bring their boxes and final donations to school. The donations will be sent to Pennies for Patients who will give the money to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. What a way to spread love on Valentine???s Day!
In addition, the class with the most money donated will receive a free pasta lunch, sponsored by Olive Garden. Don???t forget your change on the 14th, and thank you in advance for your support as we share the gifts God has given us to help others.
